What is a Short-Term Training Program?

* The Short-Term training is a part of a current project: KOICA Capacity Building for the Center for Agriculture and Bioscience of IPB University in Indonesia (ICAB project)

• Official Title: The Short-term Training Program for Senior Policy Officers and Professors Related to the Center for Agriculture & Bioscience at IPB University, Indonesia
• PURPOSE: The program’s objective is to enhance the capacity of senior university officials and experts by conducting a tailored training program. The training’s specific purposes include enhancing knowledge of laboratory operation and management and facilitating knowledge exchange and partnerships in the field of Agriculture and Bioscience between IPB University in Indonesia and Seoul National University in Korea.

• WHO: Deans and professors of IPB University, Directors of Research Laboratories from IPB University and other Indonesian universities (subject to the theme of each program)
• WHERE: Seoul National University and other advanced research institutions and laboratories in Korea  (subject to the theme of each program)
• WHAT YOU WILL DO:
   – Understanding the management status of Seoul National University laboratories and research equipment
  – Sharing experiences in the management and effective operation of shared facilities
  – Training on laboratory environmental safety management
  – Visits to Korean institutions related to Green Bioscience and Technology
  – Establishing partnerships with educational and research institutions at Seoul National University
  – In combination with the training, the Seoul National University-IPB Green Bioscience Forum will be hosted to enhance academic-industry cooperation and network building with relevant organizations
• HOW LONG?: 11 days
• HOW MANY per year?: Twice a year but it may vary according to needs and circumstances
• TRAINING COST: All travel and living costs will be covered by the ICAB project
